More Opera Garnier pics.
We weren't allowed to take pictures in side the Orsay Museum, but everyone was thrilled to find the painting that they had researched with Ms. Phillips.
The following pictures are of the Marché aux Puces St. Ouen (the Flea Market). It was typical to see such combinations as military surplus / chandeliers (see picture). There were many very strange and interesting things, and bartering was mandatory. Here are some pictures:
We also stopped at Galeries Lafayette, which is very high end. Quite a contrast to the Flea Market. Galeries Lafayette is a famous department store with a stained glass dome ceiling.
The kids did a good job finding their way around using the Metro. After awhile, I just told them where we were going, then followed along.
The weather was quite chilly in Paris. The kids were troopers and seemed to love everything, and were open to anything. In spite of my bad knee, I think I set a good pace... just ask the kids if their legs were sore. In the evening, we went to Montmartre:
The last thing we did that night was the Bateau Mouche:
We had planned on getting ice cream, but it was too late and almost everyone was too cold. I reassured several skeptics that there was also ice cream in Southern France. I didn't want us to get stranded if the Metro stopped running at midnight.

Great photos!
