Toulon

Today the weather was absolutely beautiful! Must have been close to 75 and not a cloud in the sky. Most of the kids had not heard the weather forecast for central Maine and they were shocked when I told them snow was expected. Today we ventured to nearby Toulon.

We went on a brief cruise of the harbor near Toulon.

There is a Naval base in Toulon.

We also went to the Naval Museum in Toulon and saw some interesting things from the history of the French Navy.

We then had some time to check out the shops and walk around Toulon and enjoy the beautiful weather!
